One of friends sent me this PPT via mail. I hate forwarding mails, so thought of using the online presentation application by google. I was able to import this presentation from .pps to google presentation very easily. After publishing the presentation, it gave me the source to embed the same in html page, So I thought of sharing it using my blog.

Yes ! my first blog

I was planning to start blogging since a long time and at last the time arrived when i decided to start scribbling my thoughts using this blog (well that's what blogging is all about).

When I was first introduced to the world of blogging, I was uncertain about the use of blogs and blogging. I felt that if everyone was allowed to scribble and share so easily, this would cause an information explosion. It might become a challenge to search authentic information. Yes thats what happened but as I started reading more and more blogs, I realized the benefits of blogging outperform the disadvantages. The usefulness of anything depends on your way to use it. Blogging has become a fantastic medium for sharing knowledge and learning from other's experiences.

I observe that many bloggers scribble about their daily experiences in their blogs. That works well if your experiences provide some value addition to the reader. Otherwise your blog turns out to be a log for your own use. The most useful blogs are from the subject matter experts writing about a particular subject. These blogs can be a single point of reading for you as the blogger shares all the latest happenings in that area and the readers benefit from the blogger's work in that area. Mario Sanchez has described the advantages of blogs very nicely in his article.

I haven't planned what I would blog, but I will try to use my blog for sharing my learnings.
